Designer Corinne McCormack has created a booming business based on the premise that eyewear and eyewear accessories are as important to a woman’s fashion image as the perfect red lipstick. “I’ve given women who were glasses the hip, trendy style they’ve never had before,” says McCormack.

Corinne’s background as a former accessory buyer for a national department store, and later senior executive with a major jewelry company, gave her the foresight required to zero in a gap in the accessories market. Her premiere collection of eyeglass chains were an instant hit with women who wanted chic, coordinated looks for their eyeglasses. “When I identified a product void in eyeglass chains I created a new category of Optic Necklaces – the term I coined for a fashionable approach to a practical item”, McCormack explains. More than mere chains, her fashion forward designs are artfully crafted with combinations of fine metal finishings, stones and beading.

McCormack’s success is due as much to her innovative marketing strategy as it is to her business acumen. Her newest introduction is “MEGASPECS”, a collection of upscale readers in a variety of styles and colors targeted to fashion-savvy customers. “They’re really beyond readers,” says McCormack. “MEGASPECS” will revolutionize the industry by offering ophthalmic quality, unique styling and exciting colors at a great price. My goal is to change the women’s negative perception of readers, by making them very fashionable to wear”.

Her collection includes eyeglass pins, eyeglass cases and novelty items like necklace magnifiers and optic pendants; McCormack’s products sell briskly in over 2000 stores nationally and internationally.
